Recreational Paddlesport
MWBC club members participate in a wide range of recreational paddlesports both at and away from Manvers Lake. The club has a busy programme of trips away from the lake - we try to cater for all tastes and abilities whether that is a gentle cruise on an easy river or lake, an adrenaline fueled blast down whitewater rapids or a journey on the ocean.
Paddling Sessions at Manvers Lake
The club holds paddling sessions at Manvers Lake on Saturday mornings throughout the year. In the summer months (from Easter through to September) we also hold evening paddling sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. These are the ideal opportunity for new paddlers to learn to paddle and for more experienced paddlers to improve and refine their skills. Club paddling sessions are also.an opportunity to just paddle and socialise with other club members.

Flat Water Touring
The club runs regular trips on flat water - lakes, canals and easy rivers which are suitable for both kayaks and canoes. These can be single day or multi-day and involve overnight stays - usually camping. Multi-day trips can be either based at one location or involve staying at a different campsite at the end of each day's paddling. This sort of trip is especially suitable for open canoes which have far more room for camping kit.

Whitewater
For the more adventurous paddlers the club offers the opportunity to paddle on white water both in the UK and abroad. We organise regular white water paddling trips to suit paddlers of various levels of skill and experience. These trips can be single day or multi-day depending on the location. Multi-day trips will generally involve camping or staying at a bunkhouse.

Sea Kayaking
We have strong links with the Yorkshire Sea Kayakers Group who hold regular training sessions at Manvers Lake, and can provide expert guidance and support for paddlers interested in the sport. The group organise trips to suit all levels of experience and ability.
